A Little About Myself...
I grew up on an Indiana farm in South Bend, Indiana and at 19 moved 150 miles to marry and farm with my husband in Jay County, IN. My husband and I married in 1976 and not only farm together but for 20 years we had a Christmas Tree Farm. We have 4 adult children and their spouses and 9 grandchildren. Our sons and their family live close and our daughter and her husband live in Los Angeles. Our youngest daughter died at age 26.
I have been a counselor for over 15 years trained through The Institute of Biblical Counseling.
I’ve trained in the Prepare/Enrich program, which is premarital and marriage counseling.
I was the director of Jay County Kids Hope program for 13 years. This program supplies mentors to at risk elementary students and I not only worked with mentors, but also had students I mentored.
I am currently in training with Healing Care Ministry which has enhanced my prior training a great deal. This is a more extensive 10-month training in the healing prayer method of counseling I’ve found to be very successful in bringing freedom to those who come.
I have always had a passion for one-on-one counseling, taking deep dives into what keeps someone feeling stuck and confused. It is my belief that when false beliefs are exposed, about who God is, how we see ourselves or how we believe God sees us it is then we become secure in His love and healing can begin.
